My goal is to make it easier for you, and at a low price.
Here's how it works...
I have nearly 30 years of experience with technical and creative editing, formatting, and publication. I've learned a lot through trial and error on how to publish books online and for physical copies. I can help take some of that trial and error process away so you don't have to struggle.
Here, I offer a copy edit of your manuscript and provide it to you completely formatted in whatever file type you need to upload it for publication in print format or as a Kindle-ready file (for both, please see my additional offer below). This includes stylized fonts, paragraph, page, and chapter formatting, creating a table of contents if needed, adding in images (such as an author photo), and including any other details you need for your book.​

I DO NOT USE AI. It is so important for a human being to read and edit your manuscript. AI does not understand human emotions and the storytelling aspects that are important to all genres, regardless of the author or subject.

I can format for paperback and hardbound books, and I also have experience in formatting for specialty books like coloring books.

I will coach you through how to use Amazon KDP or Barnes & Noble Press, including explaining uploading files and how to price and distribute your book.
What I need from you...
A finished manuscript. I will of course perform a copy edit--we all know there are always some bits of grammar that get away from us! If I notice any glaring mistakes in content, I will let you know.
While I can do complete content editing, my goal is to get you ready for the publishing process. Content editing and story organization can be extremely involved, so I suggest finding a content editor for that kind of work.

Any images you need to include in your book. I understand the requirements of size and file type that go into a book, so I am happy to include those where and how they are needed.
Need a cover and a Kindle-ready file as well?
I can format those, too.
I have formatted all the covers for Dark Owl Publishing. In some cases, I have actually done the graphic design for the cover, such as for The Dark Walk Forward, Something Wicked This Way Rides, and Of Dark Places. For such books as The Nightmare Cycle and Baby Monster, I was given the image and then designed the cover around that image.

I am happy to do the basic design and format of your cover for $100 if you provide me with an image, such as if you hired an artist to create a cover for you or if you bought a cover from an online book cover artist. If you don't have an image and need a complete graphic design and format for a full cover, I charge $200.
I DO NOT USE AI. I use Canva and Photoshop to design and format all covers, and I don't use their AI options.
PLEASE NOTE: I am not a designated cover artist. I simply have experience in graphic design. There are tons of great cover artists out there, and I recommend* Novelized Book Covers, The Book Cover Designer, and Book Cover Zone to get you started finding one!

For a Kindle-ready file, I only have to reformat the manuscript to fit the KDP requirements, so it will only cost you $100. I don't make an epub as that is more involved; instead I make a simple .doc file that you can directly upload to KDP or use to make an epub.
